Default Base sticker location for military installatons

Hello all,
I'm finally caving in to putting a base sticker on my scoot. Any fellow military members have any suggestions where to put the damn thing without affixing it to the bike? I'm planning on buying or making an inspection plate and I'm curious where everyone has placed theirs... Has to be easily visible when I come thru the gate so some of the ideas I've seen on here for state inspection stickers won't work. Thanks in advance!

First of all, what kind of bike you riding? I can not stand the idea of putting stickers on my bike either. I made a bracket for my RK by bending a thin piece of metal (L shape, sort of 45 degree) and then painting it the same color of black as the nacelle. It sits right behind the clear fairing and no one gives me any sh*t about it. Can be on and off in less that 30 seconds. Send me a PM if you want pictures. I made the bracket in about ten minutes.

One good suggestion i heard and i think i will adopt is , buy some of that magnet tape and put it on there. Once you roll up to the gate slap it on the tank. And take it off when you see fit.

You can buy or make a Inspection Plate and mount it where your crash bars would mount under the front side. I have mine mounted on my bars directly nice and hidden underneath dosn't stick out too far.

JB,
I have seen this done and I am going to do it when I pick my bike up (After deployment).

1. Get a piece of plexy glass or tin (what ever you want to mount the sticker too).
2.Cut to fit.
3. HOMEDEPOT time. Go to you local hardware store and buy two (broom/mop hangers). The ones that clamp onto the handle when you press the mop/broom onto it. make sure to messure you frame diameter. (make sure that they are rubber coated as not to scratch the frame).
4.mount plate with stickers to clamp.

Before you roll up on the gate slap it on the frame. it will lock it's self in place. Roll off the base, pull it off no more ugly sticker.
If you take your time it looks pretty cool.

Unless your riding a custom chopper or something, what is the big deal with the sticker? I have mine where it's suppose to be and I or anybody else for that matter, except the gate guard, even notices it. When I went to Sturgis last year I met fellow soldiers because of that thing. But once you or anyone else puts it on, it will never come off. That means you won't lose it or get it stolen, and have to get a memo from your CO when you clear post. ha
