Default Wind Vest for my FLSTSC

I ended up having a Wind Vest put on my bike in place of the King Size windshield I had as I was getting too much air underflow up into my head with the King Size. The guys at Wind Vest were excellent and custom cut the screen to fit around the headlamp and clear the springs. They did a great job.

Now I just need to remove the detachable King Size windshield attachments and see who wants to buy a King Size shield that only has about 50 miles on it.

panamoncreel... That looks really clean. Who makes it?

Fremont? Me too. Near Decoto. Would you go to Oakland or Fremont to get your ride serviced?

That was made by Wind Vest (http://www.windvest.com/).

Living near a company has it's priviledges... I went in on Friday and they couldn't find a proper fitment with the thick add-on risers and bars so they suggested contacting the President of the place, Doug.

Went in this week and Doug took a look and whipped up a really nice setup for me.

Looks good. Can barley notice it in the pictures. Looks like a lot less coverage then the king sized windshield though. Glad you're happy with it! Is it detachable?

Yep, it definitely is less coverage than the King Size. But I got head knocking so bad from the under-air current with my King Size that I felt like throwing up after a 17 mile ride to work.

This Wind Vest provides just enough coverage to make long rides easier. You can either detach the windshield and mounting bar via 2 allen bolts or detach the whole thing via the bar clamps' 4 allen bolts.

They have different shield sizes available going up to 16 x 16, I believe.

RC Cycles in Hayward is great! Ron (the owner) is a mellow guy and not out to rip people off. Other than that, do it yourself.
