Hello,
I want to buy a windshield for my springer classic. But I don't know, which one. A light smoked compact or a clear king-size shield.
Could you post some pictures to compare?
Which one do you prefer?
I have a low one on my 97... It pretty much stays on all the time.. This has become my 2up bike.. It offers good wind protection but I can still feel the air....
I have a king Size for my 03.. I only put it on for trips... It blocks everything
Hi hspring03,
thanks for your quick answer. But the low one has the same width than the king-size or is it narrow?
I think the low one looks more nostaligic.
Also.....The low one is an aftermarket shield made by KamcoSystems... I use the hard ware off my OEM... He had an Ultra Low, but I didn't want to go that short.
Get the full size one. If you want to cut it down later you can. I had originally planned on cutting both of my bikes windshields down, but after riding with them and seeing how nice they are on freeway rides, I'm keeping them tall. I know they'd look "cooler" shorter...but they won't work as nice.
They're on the bikes only for freeway riding and trips anyway. I take them off for everyday commuting and rides along the coast. Only takes 30 seconds to put it on/off.
