Default found a good solution to cold hands

Well,... I finally found a solution to keeping the hands warm on cold rides at an affordable price and without all the bulk of cold weather gloves. I bought a pair of unlined leather gauntlet gloves from leatherup.com for appx $29.00 after S&H and I then found a pair of ski glove liners on www.gloves-online. The liners we appx 10.00 after S&H. I was surprised at how warm they keep the hands, and they are not hudge and bulky like some of the snowmobile gloves and the H-D cold weather gauntlet gloves.

I'm lke HDWG, my extremeties always get cold. The only way Ihave found to warm them up is to increase the blood flow to them by moving them around. Same thing happens when I go snowboarding. Fingers and Toes.

My location limits extreme cold weather riding so don't know if it will work for everyone, but I have been using neoprene gloves. Being a hunter and having spent many cold mornings wading in the water putting out duck decoys I have several pairs of neoprene hunting gloves. They are normally precurved for better fit, single layered so no mushy feel and they are wind and water proof.

I used them on a couple of mornings this week in the 30's, can't complain with the results.

I got the toes covered, I just cannot get past the damn finger tips, it is driving me nuts. I have like 5 pairs of gloves that I have tried, finally buying some HD gloves, not the thick ones but, cold weather with wind block in them and those are the best so far but, the finger tips still get pretty bad after not too long, even with wool liners. Guess heated gloves...I will try the heat the chest/heart area and it is suposed to take care of the fingers and toes.

Hdwg: when you hold the grips for any length of time you cut off your circulation. No matter how good the gloves are you will get cold. The only way to stop it is with heated gloves. I have never tried them, but if they actually heat, that would do the trick.
