Default 21" front wheel on 07 lowrider?

Anyone know if you can put a 21" wheel on the front of a 07 lowrider without many mods?? The dealer tells me I need a wide glide front end. Surely someone has a 21" on their lowrider. Any help would be great.....thanks

Thats crap

I have a 99 FXDL narrow front end (ie sportster front end) and I put a 21in spoke on mine no mods no nothing

In fact the 21 80/90 dunlop has the same amount of space between the wheel and fender. spacers all worked the same everything.....

according to hdwheels.com the 07 lowrider can accomodate a 21x3.5 wheel with a 120/70-21 tire without any modification

I have a 21" front wheel on my 06 Super Glide. It would be the same to put one on a newer Low Rider. I used the hub from my 19" spoked rim and laced a 21" rim to it. Here a pic:

Here is a pic of mine I finished a few days ago.
I went the wideGlide way. Replaced the Tripple Clamps. Wideglide Rim.
The easiest way would be to find a Mid Glide Hub then have it laced to a 21" Rim.
If I am correct all of the 07 and 08 Hubs are 25mm OD.
In that case you would have to go with a 25mm axle and 25mm sliders if your bike has the 1" or 3/4" bearings
With your 07, get a 07 hub and Have a 21" rim lased to it. Make sure the hub is a midglide and the bearings match your axle. You will save bucks that way. Plug and play after that with a 90/90-21" tire. You won't have any fender issues due to the lower profile of the new tire.

Thanks for the reply. I really like the wide glide front end alot. How much do you have into the swap? Does it effect the handling at all? Was the swap Difficult? Do you have a side view picture so I can see the added fork angle?Sorry for all the questions, but I just love the look, and it's exactly what I'm looking for........Thanks

The Rake is only1/2" more. I don't notice it. the Handling is much more nimble in turns and counter steering. I have not had it out on the highway yet because there is just a lot of salt left on the roads yet.

Price was roughly $800.00 and Change.
Tripple clamps $310 plus shipping from Zanotti's
Front wheel eBay $200.00
New Front tire ,tube and band $105.00
Chrome tapered spacers $50.00
New Poly Bushings for Handle bar risers. $40.00 [This is optional]
Misc hardware,Four 3/4" chrome spacers for fender, new pinch bolts. $?
Labor to have tire installed, I had to go with custom bearings due to the wheel I purchased.
Had to buy andhave bearings installed as well.
