Default 21 inch front wheel on 07 FXDC?

Hey guys, I wanted to get clarification about a question that I have. I am wanting to go with a 21 inch 120/70 front tire/wheel. I am placing the link in this post of the one that I have picked out. Can anyone out there let me know if this wheel will work on my bike without having to do any mod's.

Thanks, Justin

You need to find out what front ends it will fit. The front end on the 06 and later Super Glides are unique. Most aftermarket wheels will not work. I have yet to see an 80 spoke wheel that will work.

I did notice that Bosken had a 21 inch rim on the front of his Bob. Are the Bob's front ends different from the FXDC?

He has put a Wide Glide front end on his. The wheel he used would not have worked on his original front end.

So, If I buy the Wide Glide Triple Trees and the Lowers, can I use my shock springs and shock tubes?

Yes, but you don't need the lowers, just the triple clamps and the Wide Glide wheel.

Yes, I have and so have a few others. The way I did it was retain the factory hub, and in my case have it powdercoated, and then have a 21" rim laced to it. No need to change anything else and the front fender still fits.
