why not keep your stock hub and just get spokes and a hoop and have it laced?
21" wheel doesn't handle as well IMHO. 19" holds the road better.

Are we saying that Harley have made a different lh slider just for wdg,s compared to Bobs/Glide customs/ fat bobs,if a shim is required to posistion caliper over the disc/rotor

I found that my 21" wheel handles much better then the 19" original. But then I have a 120 tire on it so maybe that is why.

As odd as it sounds, yes. The caliper mounts more inboard on the Wide Glide slider.

If you're still on here, how did that affect your ride and handling? I had a 94 lowrider FXLR (the Willie G custom) with a 21 inch front wheel but I cant remember how the ride differed from the 07 that I have now, but I'm pretty sure that I got 16K out of the dunlop on the front which is the same as what I got out of the 19 on my 07 fxdl. I don't ride like it's a crotch rocket but I do drag the exhaust pipes from time to time so they did get some abuse.

Well I went wideglide with help from info received here. Since then I've done two 2,250 mile round trips to Monte Carlo through one of Europe's best riding road, The Route Napoleon. And despite the 90-90x 21 and 240x18 tyre set up enjoyed a blinding peg grounding ride throughout the trips. Next on the list is a 23"fatspoked rim.
