Default Flat spot

Hello everyone, I need a little help. I have a 2012 48 bone stock except the baffles removed. When I removed the baffles there was a stumble or flat spot at low RPM's. I put a set of Xied's in and that solved the problem, this was 2 years ago. This pass weekend the stumble and flat spot came back and the bike is popping really bad. I checked for leaks and there are none and plugs look good. I'm thinking the Xied went bad. Can anyone give me suggestions where else to look. Much appreciated.

I.d unplug the Xied and return to stock and see if it acts the same. Quick way to tell if one/both went bad.

Removing the baffles not a good idea performance wise, you will loose power. Tuning with Xieds or any other tuner will just cover up the problem but will not correct the performance problem. Check with DK Custom in regards to the baffle mods.

XiEDs work but have limits. Try DK Custom's Thunder Torque Inserts...they work and not costly. TTI's reduce/eliminate reversion and increases low-mid range power. Kevin at DK has videos with baffles removed with TTIs

Here is a current thread on the same subject.

I'm going to order the DK torque inserts and a tuner this weekend.

Good luck with your mods...if your bike is stock except for baffle removal, the TTIs may suffice. A tuner may be overkill unless you have expendable funds or plan to upgrade your intake or do other performance mods. Have fun with it.

Ok, I figured out my flat spot. I pulled a code from the bike and it's 1351 front coil low voltage which is causing the stumble. It's at a mechanic now and he is tracing the problem.Hope it's just a coil or short and not the ECM.
