Any body have the Hogtunes Gen 3 Big Ultra system? This is the one with the new 50W per channel amp. Any review or comments from acutal use system would be appreciated.

i read a few threads on here about this system and other Hog tune set ups
Very mixed reviews.... price was OK but sound was not the best out there

I've been looking as well and my gut tells me to invest in another system

Most Guys said spend the extra $$ on a nother system

Yup. You can do a lot better than Hogtunes.

Look at the specifications tab. The kit comes with NO warranty. Good or not, I'd steer clear of anything that doesn't come with a warranty.

Default Hogtunes Gen 3 Big Ultra

My first post, but I have to chime in. RUN AWAY. Just went through about 6 weeks of aggravation installing this kit on my 2000 Ultra. First amp had snap, crackle, pop even when radio was turned off. Tech at hogtunes told me I had interference issues with some accessory on my bone stock (electrically) bike. Finally bought another brand amp and temporarily installed it. No problems. Only after I told hogtunes this was I given a return number to sent amp in. (Cost $35.00 to ship to Canada.) They sent new amp and it works OK, but I sure won't use any more of their products.

Unlike kantdo55, I never had a technical problem with Hogtunes. When I said that you can do better, I was talking about the quality of the system. Lots of better things out there, for not a whole lot more money. Hogtunes is a "1st stereo upgrade" until you hear other things on somebody else's bike, and realize that you could've done a lot better for a stereo system. I went all-out a couple years ago, and spent a lot of money on a JL Audio system that I love. Nicest stereo I've ever had on a bike. If I were to do it over again on a budget, I'd go back to the Titan upgrade from Biketronics. That was the best one I ever had before I went JL Audio.
