Exclamation Highway peg install need help

I've got Arlen Ness Foot peg mounts and also have joker machine long serrated foot pegs that I'm installing for my highway pegs. I picked up a couple spring washers from the stealership as I need a washer to create tension between the mount and the peg. My problem is I can not get the damn things to go together with the washers in there.

Is there a secret to this? I must be missing something here I just can't get them all together.

Thanks for the help!

wear gloves so the edges of the spring washer don't cut your fingers.

that's about it

some cussing may help too

Haha I've done lots of cussing that's for sure. I tried to coat the stuff with a little Vaseline but still couldn't get it.

I was going to suggest lighter fluid as a lube...it will evaporate away.

They are very tight. I used a rubber mallet with the mount off the bike and on the floor. OncE you get them together then you'll cuss bc the damn washer doesn't line up in the bolt hole lol

A phillips screwdriver will help align once together, stick it in the hole and pry the washer to line up.
