Default handle bars

I have a 08 ultra I would like to change the handle bars to get a little more pull back so my arms wont have to be stretched out so far but don't want to change the brake lined or clutch cable or any wires does anyone know what Harley bars will work for this

Thanks in advance

first step is to try repositioning your bars

cost zero

time 30 minutes

skill level 2 ( breathing and caffeinated)

cover tank with towel

remove ignition ( see youtube- make the alignment tool)

remove the nut, spring, spacers and plastic panel

remove 2 screws in side of lower dash and work it up out of the way.

watch for your 2 rubber seals falling off.

loosen 2 bolts, rotate bars...snug them down- make SURE you have at least 7/16" clearance with bars at full lock, both sides

a tool for the allens ( works on tranny end cover too):

I put the Harley Reach bars on my '09 Ultra; best move I ever made. The dealer did it and changed out the clutch cable only.

That was going to be my question. Sorry not trying to hijack your thread, just coming along for the ride. So 10" apes will work without changing any cables? Wiring still may need extending though?

Some guys have said that you can use the stock clutch cable but it has to be routed under the fairing rather than through the fairing as from the factory.

56176-08 is the correct part number.

Since I had stock bars on for so long (about 20k) it took me a solid 500 miles to get the bike to feel normal to me again. I now have about 66,500 on it and they are perfect - very relaxed feel. Additionally the web site says they are polished steel but they are in fact chrome which is nice

I've always been of the opinion that it's better to change the cables and be 100% comfortable on my bike instead of working within the boundaries of the stock cable lengths and having less comfort.
