I currently have it in San Diego

I want to plan a Meet~n~Greet at the Hideout in Northeastern San Diego county so that the San Diego members have a chance to sign it. Then I hope to find someone in the L.A. area planning a trip north so we can get it moving toward the Pacific Northwest.

Anyone in the Greater L.A. area heading north on their bike that would like to meet up with ecvjohn?

Sorry if my post sounded negative........... Have fun and meet the people, thats what its all about. I'm only concerned that our peeps in the northwest will miss out if rainy season hits and whoever has the mascot doesnt move it, not implying that you won't move it by any means, just that some don't ride in the rain. If I get it I should be able to move it close to Oregon if needed.

I see Canada being a good goal.........

No not at all. At least I didn't take it that way. We just had a great meetup less than two weeks ago. We can't plan them back to back or the turnout won't be so great. I pick the Mascot up here...

Well I have it in San Diego at the moment. After the San Diego meetup next Saturday we will be looking for someone to help move it northward. I don't beleive the Mascot has made it to the Pacific Northwest so that is the destination. It is just a matter of arranging the path. The Mascot seems the travel the path of least resistance. Are you planning a trip to the Los Angeles area anytime soon? Or I could bring it to someone in Los Angeles to meetup with someone headed that way. I would hope that the Mascot could pass through the Bay Area as we have a lot of members up there...

Any luck on finding a northbound person, I'll offer to half way or maybe more towards L.A to pick it up and head it to the Northwest.

Thanks John

We are having our meetup tomorrow. After the San Diego members have signed it, I will be looking for interested member(s) to move it northbound. I plan to try to find someone in the L.A. area that is planning a ride north. I was always my intent to pass it to some leaving L.A.

While at the Mammoth Run, some of the members were discussing a run up the coast where the SoCal and NorCal folks might meet. I'm not sure, but I was going to try to stir that up again. My house to Mammoth was a little over 400 miles. That's pretty far on a Dyna.. I see a UC in my future

Here is a link to the Meetup I planned for San Diego... http://hdforums.com/m_2322279/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#2360730

I have it now...
South Orange County, Southern California...
All of Southern California seems to be on fire right now.

Where exactly are you at, evcjohn?  Where would be a convenient Meet~n~Greet spot
somewhere between us?
There are a couple sweet locations in my area.  Cook's corner or Hell's Kitchen.  But I am flexible...I might go out of my way to get an excuse to ride up to the "Rock Store".

Glad to see you guys are moving the Mascot and meeting people.  That's what it's all about.

I have no problem with it going to the Pacific NW (Oregon, Washington, etc)  However I do not want it stuck somewhere where it cannot be moved.  I’m not all that familiar with the winter in Oregon & Washington but I know it gets Cold and Snowy in Canada so now is not a good time to move it that way.  We need to keep it moving in the areas that can ride this time of year.  That might mean keeping it moving around Cali, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas etc and moving it back up north in the summer.  Just don’t want it stuck somewhere all winter.

I'm 10 miles south of Sacramento..... I'm 5 or 6 hours out of L.A.  It 385 miles. I'm willing to meet half way or a little more which is near the big truck stop north of bakersfield, flag city I think its called. I think theres Andersons pea soup down that way as well. If you can't go that far we'll need to find someone that can relay it to that area. I would go further but I'm doing a one day turn around and going to try to have it at the Oregon boarder the following day, a long haul to say the least. Times running out for those guys weatherwise so I'd like to make this happen soon as possible. I know there are some folks between the two of us, I just don't know who.

If we can set this up for next weekend I'm game, if any NorCal folks want to ride down let me know and we'll make a day of it.In any event it will work itself out , it always does.

Heather, the riding season is just starting here in the Great Northwest.
The tourists have returned with their motorhomes to there houses in the heartland and have left the highways to us.  We do still have some hunters on the road but they are a fast moving bunch.
As a warm up for the riding season almost upon us, we did a little lunch ride from Bellingham to Twisp via rte 20 over Washington Pass, check your mapquest.
Anyway,  the Mascot wont be STUCK here!
A pic from todays ride.

You may be right, Heather, the weather up in the northwest can be pretty unpredictable, as if it isn't anywhere else, but there's also the holidays coming up, and would be harder to find willing members to meet and pass along the mascot. just my 2 cents,..........

That all sounds good to me, perhaps the Mascot could make it to the Hells Canyon Rally in Baker City, OR next June.

Looks like the mascot is going from PhatPhil to MrBreeze but if that doesn't happen then I'm available to help move it. I'll be going to the breakfast meet and greet and would be willing to run the mascot to Bakersfield, Las Vegas or Western Arizona if somebody wants to take it over in one of those areas. My schedule is wide open for Mon. 11/12 (Veterans Day) so just point me in what direction the mascot needs to go and I'll get it there.

Looks like I'll be taking the mascot on Saturday,

Ok here's the deal, the only day I'll be in town is Sunday 12/23. If any of you wants to meet up let me know, we'll split the distance and the mascot is yours to move around.
Thanks,
nastyHD

OK, I've got the Mascot at Vandenberg AFB, CA.  Let's keep this ball rolling.

I've got to go to TX from the 6th thru the 27th of Jan, so who can meet me before the 6th?  I'm up for a ride over to Bakersfield, or up to Paso Robles...Hearst Castle maybe?

Where is the mascot going to be in mid-June, 2008? My wife and I are traveling from S.W. WA State to Denver, CO area, through OR, ID, WY, then on to CO. I'd Like to get to take it on a ride if it's anywhere near me at the time. Or I can take it to the NW area on my way back. Going through MT on the way home as well. Keep me in mind.

I'm new around here, but you should be back from TX now.  If you didn't get it passed off, I'm at Luke AFB just outside Phoenix.  If we cand find someone in between us for the pass off, I'm not against ridin' 3 hours or so to get it a bit more east for ya.  I have surgery in mid-Feb, so it would have to be before then.

It's going north if I have to go all the way to  Vandenburg myself to take it the the PNW.

Storms have caused a short term stall, but hopefully next weekend it will be on the move.
