Wife and I went to a motorcycle workshop yesterday hosted by the Gold Wing Road Riders Associating.

Wife and I both wore Harley baseball hats and by many of the WingDingers we were looked at like "What the hell are they doing here."

We discovered that they call "Riding Bitch" is actuall refered as "Co-Riders" It was funny one guy at the regestration desk asked my wife if she was my "co-rider" and my wife looked at him and said, "I don't ride bitch." The guy just looked at us like he didn't know what to think.

We enjoyed it. Learned alot. Anyone ever get a chance to go, I suggest you do. This one had the Head cheese from Washington Motorcycle Safetly Program. He talked about all the laws and current issues that is happening in Washington State as well as showed us the results of investigation of the latest motorcycle fatalities. Wow, that was some impresive information. Lots of pictures, charts and data that covered each accident. Witnesses and the conclusions. Which happened to be 75% riders fault. Wow, layed out like it was made it very obvious that some people should have paid a lot more attention to their surroundings then they did. Complete violation of common sense.

And then he told us that they are currently going over inch by inch of every Motorcycle Fatality over the last 10 years and compling all the data. Funding has and is the biggest enemy.

I asked him if the current results matched what was found in the HURT report in the 1970's. He told me that he felt that the HURT report is way out of date and that he is finding a big variance between current accidents in Washington State and that which has come from the HURT report.

I have some information that I am looking over I will post any new or relevant info here.

BTW, I and wife both are looking forward to next years event.

Since rider ed isn't brand-specific, you guys kept an open mind and enjoyed it. Good for you.
