Well I had to do this but I found on Craigs list of all places a 2003 SERK for $15K.
It has a Stage 2 110 kit \\;,a S&\\;S 535 cams with the gear drive Fueling push rods and lifters and oil pump, Head work that was $1400. And all this came up to $5500 before the guy even picked it up from the dealer new.
Now after I got it home it has 5160 miles on it.
When I was sitting at the dealer where he was getting his new one they pointed right out I was getting a steal and showed me the paperwork on it.
Before it even left he \\;laid down 39K for it.
Now the best part I had a 200 mile trip back home and \\;WOW this Motherf&\\;^%ker pulls!!!
This makes my 96 RK seem like a 250 Honda on the road.
Try to have pics soon!!! \\;
I have never figured out why people put so much money into a bike, almost never ride it and then sell it at a huge loss. \\; You said the guy paid $39K and sold it for $15K....man, what a beat down. \\; Anyway, you got a heck of deal!!
Hey, I'm glad you got a screamin' deal. \\; Those don't come along too often. \\; Guess I'm going to have to start looking at Craigs list. \\; Ride safe.

Totally agree with this comment....Unless you're gonna keep it forever, there is no use in dropping so much money in a bike...ridiculous to do that and then turn around and sell it in just a few years....This fella certainly got one heck of a deal!

Some people have it like that (not me I'm a broke bstd) I have more that three friends who routinely do this -- mmotor work - paint - chrome - they get bored and move to the next project but that can easily afford to do this --- one had his bike in Hot Baggers (Orange Crush RG) only to sell it a month latter.
