Cruising down the hwy when bam...........3 barrels loaded with dirt, leaves sticks come flying out of F-150 pickup, \\; car in front of me dodges to the left into median and slides sideways, \\; barrel hit the front of his car and flew right by my head showering me with debris, \\; all this at 65-75 miles per hr........
 \\;
Later on once I got my heart pumping normal again another pickup with his tail gate down is spewing sand all over the hwy....
 \\;
all these guys looking for better gas milage clean your beds......
Glad your safe!
I got sand blasted before, dump truck without a tarp on top, and it's a state law.
 \\;
Watch for the 18 wheeler that blows a tire..I started to smell rubber and .......not pretty. I missed it though.
One of the first lessons I ever learned when I first took to riding on the street was to stay clear of ANY and ALL vehicles that even have the potential of carrying stuff - not just the ones that are obviously loaded up. Pickup trucks have kids laying down in'em that throw stuff out at random...bumps &\\; air blow stuff out at random...stuff falls off of trailers, flatbeds, towtrucks, semi's - etc...safe distance from anything &\\; everything is key - but especially those types of vehicles that have the potential to load up. I haven't had to make any evasive manuevers yet cuz of something flying off - even though I've seen plenty of stuff come flying off - cuz I avoid riding behind them and if I do - I stay very far back...
I try not to ride to close to older bikes also. First was the passengers foot peg that almost got me in the head. Than about 1/2 mile later was the hardware. when we stopped for gas, Duds wife only said, "I thought something felt funny" That was a 89 HSTS.
20 minutes ago on my drive home from work, I saw this DUMB A$$ with wooden skids on top of his beat up rusty $hitbox.
