my '99 80 cu. in. Fatboy backfires thru the carb after idling in traffic. Just got the bike, not sure of mods, SE pipes. Something the stealer should fix? Also, the power seems to flatten out a bit under heavy acceleration in 2nd gear, 3rd seems fine.

Three things will cause back firing through the carb and I will list them in the order of probability.&nbsp\\; #1 Carb jetted too lean....#2 Timing too far retarded.....#3 bad intake valve or seat.
