Harley-Davidson Shovelhead Cafe Racer? Yes, Please!
Alright, this has to be the coolest Shovelhead Harley-Davidson ever built. Or at the very least, it’s definitely my favorite custom Shovelhead. It isn’t a chopper, or a cruiser, or anything like a normal person would build. Nope, it’s a café racer/boardtrack racer and it is badass.
According to Motorcyclist Online, the Shovelhead was built by Ed Riggins, who used to be the publisher of Thrasher Magazine but has since retired. During his reign at the magazine, Riggins built this awesome motorcycle. It’s a 90 inch, Shovelhead motor with a stroker kit, new heads, bigger Sifton valves, a custom exhaust and a bigger carb.
The front has been replaced with a Honda unit, new clip-ons, and a ton of other pieces from various motorcycles that were available when Riggins first built this awesome little Shovelhead café bike. It looks so dope, and more Harley-Davidson Shovelheads should be transformed like this one.
