Are Harley-Davidsons Slow? No Way!
Many people in our world hold the belief that Harley-Davidson motorcycles are slow. This is a strange public opinion, especially considering that most of them drive cars and certainly have never outran a Harley in any way, shape, or form.
Even so, it is thought that hogs have a tendency to lose when put up against sports bikes.
To be fair, most Harleys are made for loud and proud cruising, not for the track. Even so, the Sportster models are becoming all the more popular and are undoubtedly fast as hell.
This rather ill-founded stereotype that all Harley motorcycles are slow is slowly dissipating. Even so, quite a few people still hold this belief. It doesn’t seem to matter that Harley bikes have held their ground on ice and with dirt bikes, people still choose to believe the hearsay from young guys on their Hondas.
Well, that all ends here. This is a video taken from the helmet camera of a guy riding a sports bike on US 129 North, and he is giving chase to a man on a Harley-Davidson. Does he catch him? Not even close.
The Harley is by far the faster of the two. In fact, we barely even end up seeing much of the Harley rider since the sports bike really can’t get close enough. Check out the video below to see that rather feeble attempt from the non-Harley rider.
So if your need another reason to love hogs, here it is: They’re fast!
