Custom Chopper: Fat, Low, Definitely Not Slow

Custom Chopper

‘Hellraiser’ custom chopper lives up to its name in both style and substance!

Far too often, fancy show bikes lack real world practicality. Builders pour countless dollars, top notch fabrication skills, and big money parts into their rides, but then never ride them. That cannot be said about the creations that come out of Florida-based Big Tony’s Chopp Shop, however. Those guys crank out some pretty amazing custom choppers, sure. But they’re also a fully licensed manufacturer.

That means that bikes like this insane custom chopper, dubbed “Hellraiser,” come with a title and are just as easy to register and insure as any factory-built bike. The fact that Big Tony cranks out a variety of models also means that you’re getting a wild, wholly unique creation without the insane price tag of a one-off build. But that doesn’t make this low riding chopper any less unique.

The bodywork is all custom, designed to drape over that steamrolling 18×300 rear Colorado Custom wheel wrapped in an Avon Cobra tire. The whole thing rides like a dream thanks to a Custom Cycle Control air ride setup. And an inverted American Suspension front end keeps things nice and stretched out for a super-low stance.

Of course, all of this visual pizzazz would mean nothing to us if that polished mill had no substance. Instead, the 120-inch Ultima provides plenty of power to light up that meaty rear tire. It’s backed up by a Baker 6-speed transmission and sends power to the back via a Tech Cycle Twister series primary drive. Which, in essence, makes this the perfect all-rounder. This custom chopper goes every bit as good as it looks. Which means that it’s just as fun to drive as it is to show off. Because who the heck wants cake if you can’t eat it, too?
