Harley-Davidson’s dominance in motorcycle drag racing has made for many headlines across the country in 2016. Now they’re after another championship, but instead of going straight, they’ll go in circles this time…

The American manufacturer’s partnership with the Screamin’ Eagle Racing Team of Vance & Hines has yielded endless victories this year, but it’s good ‘ole flat-track racing that the Harley racing outfit is after now. Behold the recently unveiled HD  XG750R racer. The new bike has completely done away with any traces of the old XR750 which remained nearly identical for 40 years, and it’s based on a completely new model—the  liquid-cooled 750 Street.

Harley chose the 750 Street instead of the air-cooled Sportster, to give the XG750R cutting edge technology and reliability at the track. Having tested the new model in the harshest of conditions, Harley is confident that this muscular and menacing looking racer can carry on their quest for racing supremacy.

“After decades of flat-track racing success behind the Harley-Davidson XR750 flat track motorcycle, we knew it was time to develop the next-generation Harley-Davidson to compete in one of the best spectator racing sports out there today,” Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson’s racing manager, said in an official statement.

Can’t wait to see this bad boy at the track!
