Raffle of custom quilt made from Harley t-shirts is part of ‘Save the Ta-Tas’ motorcycle ride happening Oct. 20 in Louisiana.

A group of rockin’ grandmas got together to create a custom Harley-Davidson quilt as part of a charity raffle that will benefit breast cancer charity, Save the Ta-Tas. The quilt raffle is part of an all-day charity event sponsored by Cajun Harley-Davidson in Scott, Louisiana.

The Sixth Annual Save the Ta-Tas Breast Cancer Awareness Ride and Event will feature a ride, live music, and lots of Harleys. The quilt is expected to raise thousands for the charity. And with good reason. Made from dozens of donated Harley-Davidson t-shirts, the hand stitched quilt was made with a lot of love.

“This is a community effort,” said quilter and event co-organizer Cheryl Stelly to KATC News. “And this is what we are all about, our community.”

And one thing we know is that the Harley community turns up and turns it out for a good cause.

When you think of quilts, this probably isn’t what comes to mind. But we love the use of a wide array of Harley tees, many vintage and rare, and all coming together to form one badass piece of craft work.
