Default How are there removed?

Thought I had the correct tool. None of my the attachments work. Seems HD uses odd clips.

Your pliers are snap ring pliers. They will work on the snap ring holding the brake lever and clutch lever in the perches. The clip you need removed is a c-clip. Paintsligner has you covered.

They make a tool for E-Clip removal & installation. However, as stated above a screwdriver will work.

I keep a few of the size used on the lever pins in my tool box as they get away sometimes and fall in a crack that leads to the center of the earth, never to be found.

They used to use really tiny c-clips to hold the speedometer to the dashboard on my Evo Softail. I had to remove them to access the speedometer cable to lubricate it. It was really fun trying to remove or Install a tiny clip underneath the dash. I think there are still a few c-clips on the front cylinder head.

The original mounting system was two pins with rubber grommets and those tiny clips.

The vibration would shake the speedometer until the grommets wore out (on my `89 Softail they would last about 1 oil change interval).

I got tired of replacing the rubber grommets around 1990, and used some nuts, bolts and spacers.
