Have you ever gone to a dealer and sat on a motorcycle and hated it? Even though all the research, and online reading told you it was the perfect bike for you? Todays tip talks about how to fix it.

What went wrong? The ergonomics were off. Reach to the bars, peg location, seat height, and various other items conspired against you. What do you do?

The great thing about Harley Davidson is you can get anything you need to make a bike fit you. If you find a motorcycle you like, don’t just walk away, talk to the sales staff and see how you can change your HD to fit you.

Another area we often see complaints, even in professional reviews, is complaints about shifter height. There is no motorcycle currently made where the shifter lever height cannot be adjusted. I recently read this complaint in a review of the Indian Chief and HD Street Glide that the shift lever was too low for the boots they were wearing.

Remember with HD, or any brand of motorcycle, you can change the ergonomics to suit you as the rider. Buy what you like and make it what you need.
