Custom Harley-Davidson Sportster Has Been a Real Witch to Own

Typically the witch is the one with something that zips her around at at flick of the wrist in between her legs. Not this time. This time, one lucky rider gets to swing a leg over The Witch and take her for a spin (sorry, that got dirty quickly). This said, of course, referring to Lorenz Richard’s 1997 883 Harley-Davidson Sportster, nicknamed The Witch.

Richard is a photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland. Apparently, he had some difficulties getting the bike registered, and the Sportster had some electrical problems. “I was so over it [so] I called her ‘The Witch,’” Richard told HiConsumption.

Fortunately, those electrical problems lead to the bike you see here. He took the bike down to its bones so he could build it back up. With the help of Young Guns Speedshop, he wired it the right and customized it on the way. With inspiration of from Swiss military-issue leather bags that he found in his pop’s garage, the tumbled look came together. The seat was from eBay, the rear fender was from a flea market, and he added progressive shocks and new tires.

The result is this beauty, shown off in these striking pictures. Don’t you love when photographers have cool things?
