Throwback Thursday: Fun Time Ad

It’s always funny to me when people talk about Harley Davidson and how it’s mired in the past, doesn’t innovate, and makes archaic machinery. My answer is generally “So what?” Why are these so often considered a bad thing. Sure there are parts of the past that are not great, but there are parts of today that are equally bad. When you do something right you should keep doing it.

Case in point is this advertisement from 1947. They show a man and a woman riding together, having “fun”, and they remind you to get a copy of “The Enthusiast” magazine. While the name may change occasionally that magazine still exists today, the “Fun Time” hasn’t stopped, and we hope it never does.
