Tell me something how and the hell did you get a ratchet in there? I couldn't had to use a wrench and how did you install the rocker box housing and get recommended torques? you have a special tool?
Rocker assembly, the four big bolts, is easy enough to torque down, the smaller ones and the cover bolts don't need torqueing just do 'em nice and tight but not too tight.
I stopped using a torque wrench on rocker bolts after I snapped one off on Dr.Linda's Sporty one day with the torque wrench. I had to pull the head and bring it to a professional to get out. Now I just go by feel. Like Spanners sez: Nice and tight, but not too tight.
the online manual cylinder head image shows head bolts 9-13 for late 85 with washers which I have? it appears early 84 did not have washers? or am I reading it wrong? or did both 84-85 use the washer? were these ever upgraded? also I know its a good idea to replace head bolts on a rebuild for they stretch anyone ever reuse these?

Bl00dy heavy! I vaguely recall around 180 pounds? It will be interesting to see what the answer actually is. It might explain why so many Harley custom builders look like weight lifters - unless they get that shape from doing lots of builds.
