So I was going to buy the replacement K&N filter for my Vemtilator because it's about time to replace the filter but then someone on here pointed out that the filter can be cleaned according to the directions that came with it. Has anyone cleaned this filter yet? If so did you oil it like a K&N? I'm guessing by the directions I'll clean it just like the K&N but won't oil it after wards. Let me know what you did if you have done this already. thanks!

 

I use K&N filter cleaner and an old tooth brush then rinse in my kitchen sink. I don't oil paper element filters. Never have. Only foam element filters.

 

That's what I figured but couldn't hurt to ask...lol... I'll pull it off tomorrow and clean it using my K&N cleaner and let it dry.
