Tourpak on 2014 SGS
Just wondering about putting a full size 2014 tourpak on a 2014 SGS and adding the wrap around lights, I know everything will fit, problem is I'm looking for the answer to where will I attach the wiring harness from the light to the bike. I have spoke to them at a few dealerships and have been told there is no plug that lets you plug and play, and if you wire into the main wire harness to the rear light it will cause a problem and shut the rear lights down, if anyone can help helpI would be very thankful

If the answer isn't in this thread I'd give the poster a PM and see if he knows.

I believe you can get an adapter that fits into the rear harness from these people. http://www.customdynamics.com/ You can then run the light wiring as you need. Might need to call them, their site is hard to navigate.

I put an older style tour pack on my 2015 Road Glide. The route I went to use the LED puck lights I have in it for run, brake, turn, and stop applications was to utilize a trailer harness. It is a little bulky but it gets the job done well. Lots of info on wiring for a trailer on here already. There are two setups basically if you want brakes or blinkers on the tour pack and they are 4 and 5 wire setups. 4 wire puts turn and brake in the same light like a utility trailer. 5 wire splits out the turn for a separate turn signal. order as you want it or a converter will be needed to switch to the other.
If you want just running lights then you can tap into the accessory power plug under the side cover. Get a Touring Electrical Connection Update Kit-69200722 and you will have two switch power, two battery power and two grounds to work with that are already fused in the fuse block with a 15A fuse. Easy to split it yourself for multiuse after. I believe the instructions say up to 3 wires per bare lead plus the Deutsche plug.

I added a 2009 Tour Pak to my 2014 SGS and bought this luggage rack. The wiring adapter that came with it was a direct fit for the bike and Tour Pak lights. They do sell the harness separately for $20. You will need to switch to LED lights in either your bike's tail lights or the Tour Pak. I did both and it was less than $100.
