First, before someone says it, I'm on my phone and the search function doesn't work when I try.......
I serviced the bike last week, washed it friday and rode all weekend, without any issues. This morning, I got ready to go and when I went to connect to Bluetooth, the screen looked like an old tv with very poor reception. I started the bike and it seemed fine, just like it always does. Then, about 5 miles in, the screen went gray. I pushed and held the power button and the screen went black, but the radio was still playing, albeit intermittent. Also, the red security light came on for about 5-10 seconds and then went off.
I think I'll pull the fuse, before I leave work this evening and see of that helps.
When I left work yesterday, it worked like it should. But, after I got home, I turned the bike off to open the garage and unload my things and when I started it back up, it was black again. There is some sort of illumination, but no screen. I pulled the fuse and it didn't seem to change anything. A little later I tried it and it worked normally. I'm thinking some water might have gotten in the unit, even though I didn't spray water anywhere near the unit. Guess I'll see how it acts when I get a chance to ride again.

I'm shooting in the dark here, but how old is your battery? A battery on the last leg will cause all kinds of weird problems.
I agree with the other guy that mentioned the water getting in somehow too. When it drys it will all be OK. But if it is the battery, things will not improve until a new one is installed.

Not saying it can't happen but I wash my bike 2-3 times a year, I don't shoot water into the fairing area but spray it down, wash with soap and water and then spray it down a couple more times and never had any problems. The odds of any appreciable water getting behind the fairing, into the head unit or penetrating those tight connectors are, IMO slim to none. These bikes are made to get wet, I've ridden in torrential downpours and never had a problem. Hopefully you're still under warranty or have an ESP, get it in ASAP. I'm thinking maybe the head unit might be going south, good luck!
That will be my luck. Warranty ran out April first and no ESP.
I guess it's worth checking the battery, but I don't think it's bad. Never any starting issues, was in a tender this winter and always show 14 volts when running.
Very well could be low battery voltage. I have a Tri-Glide when engaging reverse the screen goes dark. Ask dealer about it and they said when voltage drops it is designed to go dark.
