Still no side stand switch?

I remember years ago, I bought a new 1200 sportster custom...1999. I took it to a friends house and was showing him the bike. I went to start it so he could hear it, and it happened to be in gear and as soon as I hit the starter, the bike leaped forward.
Good thing it didn't start....that would have be a disaster!

I really liked the idea that the side stand was locked down and didn't fold up.

That is something other brands could use.

I had a safety kickstand switch on my Vulcan, and a few times I couldn't figure out why the bike stalled when I put in in gear.


On my Harley I never forget to put the stand up. Not sure why. Probably cause the Jiffy Stand is chrome and easier to see that it is out.

Harley makes bikes with this option for police and overseas sales.

Instead of a jiffystand switch, maybe they could just add 2 more tires, a roof, windows, air bags, seat belts and air conditioning.
