I'd wait, especially for $2k. The bike I have was delayed several days and it was driving me nuts, but now that I've had it for a few weeks, it seems silly to me now to get worked up over it.

All I got was some denim spray cleaner.

it's a business transaction. They are a business who wants your money. If they aren't in a hurry to help you out, i wouldn't be in a hurry to pay them. Loyalty is a mind game with sales. Dude behind the desk isn't your buddy, unless he already was before you even started bike shopping. Nothing wrong with shopping around. I already know my local dealer (where I purchased my softail from), won't negotiate, it's what's on the sticker or nothing. I didn't realize I could shop around for a better deal back then. I won't make that mistake a 2nd time. I will get an OTD quote from them, and see what Indianapolis or Ohio or KY dealers can do for me. Best deal get's my money. Simple as that. And if two dealers have an identical best deal, and neither want's to throw in anything else, or beat out the other, then the one closest to me gets the deal. Whatever saves me the most money.

You would think a motivated sales person would actually make this happen. I'd buy from the dealer that has the bike on the floor. Apparently they are not willing to do the work to make their commission.

Your money, your decision. Next time your local dealer won't play around if you do a deal else where.

According to my Dealer, I cannot Contract the Bike and then go get it. Bike has to come to their shop first. But it was worth a shot.
I have to put this into perspective. Harley has not delivered a Bunch of these to California and there is only 2 or 3 available in the State. I've waited a year for this purchase and my dealer is offering a good deal. So I will sit back and just wait.
However I may contact the other dealer up the road and see if they will match the deal

I like to think I am your normal **** loving, Harley riding, smart shopper. Before I buy anything of big value and make up my mind I have usually been trolling for a few months and educating myself. Once my mind is made up....I am pulling the trigger......80mi away....DONE.........7hrs away.....is there an airport close by..........other side of the country.....how many hotel stays will it take me before I get home. My point and others.......get your *** on the road and go get that thing and take to Vegas.......don't forget to be a snob in Vegas when people compliment you on your new ride in Vegas either.

"Hey man, is that a 2015 CVO? Nice bike"

you, " You mean that old thing, yeah it's a spare bike. my real bike is getting a fire spitting jet engine installed"

That's a long way and fairly difficult bike to get. Is it just the week of seat time that is bothering you or is it going to screw you vegas trip? That's where I would probably draw the line.

I am very impatient, especially when it comes to a purchase of this scale, and I am increasingly disappointed by the lack of basic sales skills and customer service from the local dealers (and other businesses), especially when I am a repeat customer. Get the best deal and service you can from whomever wants your business the most. It's your hard-earned money. Loyalty is fleeting.
