I've run GPS, a camera, PV2 and for years my XM Road Tech unit using RAM mounts.
Rock solid, and NUMEROUS mounting options... currently I have one mounted to the bottom of my left mirror, ball down, arm under the bar, double ball to a short arm, and my PV2 sits at a very comfortable position.
Mine is mounted off the left handlebar just in front of the clutch master. The mast comes up to dash high. All wires run into the batwing as I have both GPS and XM antennas mounted on top of the dash. I also have a radar signal strenght meter in the form of 6 red led lights just about 1.5 inches long mounted to the wind screen at the bar/shield.. works very well.
