Is there some difference between domestic and international versions of the software?
Can I load the 1.18.2 domestic version to my International 2015 bike which has 1.18.0 loaded from the factory?
I downloaded the 1.18.2 update to a 32GB memory stick (FAT32) with nothing else on it and when I plugged it into the bike and turned it on, I got an "authenticating" message that went for about 10 minutes. I turned the bike off and went to get another 8GB memory stick and formatted it to FAT32 so that nothing else would be on the stick other than the update. Now I am getting a "no playable media" error message no matter which memory stick I use.
What could I be doing wrong? The bike came with 1.17.5 installed from the dealer when I bought it a few months ago.

Does your memory stick have the file that is still zipped? It won't read it that way and since the Infotainment system looks for media (music) it's not finding anything and you're getting that message. Once you download the file from the website, move it from "downloads" to your "desktop". Then, double click on that file and you'll see two files within there; a .iso and a .txt. You can drag both over to your memory stick or just the one iso file. The .txt doesn't matter. That will work.

I believe there will be differences. Are you aware there is a country selector at the bottom of the software download page?

Is it me or is this not easy to download and install?
Can I use my Apple Mac?
I download to desktop and unzip and then move to a empty 32gb memory stick plug in and it says something like no audio on device.
I noticed someone saying you just need ISO file on memory stick.
I turn ignition switch to accessory as stated and turn on radio and plug stick in.
I just don't get why this is so hard to do.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
You can use Apple Mack. Check that you have two files in the root of the memory stick; one with the extension .iso and one with .txt. Your boombox does not find the .iso file and tries to look audio files and gives the error as there are no audio files either.

It is VERY simple. I have done several updates, all with a Macintosh.
Download the .zip file. Unzip it (happens automatically on a Mac). Place the .iso file on an 8GB or larger USB drive, FORMATTED AS FAT32 (NOT Macintosh). Plug the USB drive into the bike. Turn bike on. Wait.
The only thing I could think of that could go wrong in your case is that you may have the USB stick formatted as Macintosh instead of FAT32 (MSDOS).
That's got to be it I have to check that stick is formatted for FAT 32 can you format to fat 32 on a Mac or does it have to be formatted on a windows?
