The lock and unlock buttons on the CVO lock and unlock the tourpak... and maybe the saddlebags.
They lock/unlock the tourpack, saddlebags, and fork lock. You can use the buttons as long as you do it before you turn the bike off. After that, you can use the fob remote. It's one of the things I was afraid I'd miss coming from a Goldwing.....luckily my wife insisted on the CVO over the limited.
If you use the HD 71400106, unless you have the AUX lights you need the switch cluster that these parts are in addition to. Here is the link to read for this harness kit. http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J05965.PDF
Hope this helps explain the wiring and what can be done.
Sadly on the '15 Street Glide CVO the moco decided two of the wires that ran from right switch pak to left side cover were not needed.. I have no idea why they would do that...
I installed that kit on my bike a few weeks ago. Not too bad to install. You have to remove your ignition switch and inner fairing. Remove the switch from the fairing, take it a part and pull these metal forks to unlock the toggles switches. It just plugs back into a molex plug to power the switches and your two accessories. It comes with one relay to power things using 2 amps or more. My plan is to power my usb phone charger on a ram mount on my bars. The harrness installs in the left side cover and plugs directly to a empty molex plug.
If ya want a diff way to charge your cell, buy a hard wire usb plug and mount it under the fairing. Just splice into a 12v source under the fairing, zip tie the usb plug to something under there and plug your charger cork to it. Run the charger cord out of the fairing along the bars to your phone. too easy. Did my last few bikes that way

I was going to go that way, but I wanted to have the ability to shut it off with the button. Plus I will be using the other button and power source for a 12v plug in the saddle bag. Thanks.
Not to drag up a 2 year old thread but does anyone know what the third switch on the right side is for? Haven't seen any bike with it yet... initially I thought maybe the trikes but nope the reverse button for th 14-16's is above the horn. Can't think of a feature that the CVO limited doesn't have lol and the two accessories are on the left side. So what could it be? Turbo Button?
