I have one (Classic) on order, ship date of 21 Oct. I really fell for it during a demo ride but will admit that the reduced reach seat that they use is a mistake. I does set you lower on the bike, but also pushes you forward, too far forward. I have a mustang low down seat off the bike I traded in and I think that will be much better.

One thing many over look when comparing the Low model is that the Low comes with the Assist and Slip clutch that is standard on CVO model, $389 in the catalog.

Dealer worked on me to buy one while mine was being repaired from the crash.I'm 5'7" and 160 and no problem flat footing my 14,sorry not interested.JMO.He's like I got just the bike for you and showed me it.I asked him if he was insulting me since I bought three Ultra's from him. I don't care for the low,but I'm sure there selling plenty of them.what next a low RK or SG, oops can't get much lower on the SG, LOL

The first '15 I sat on (by accident) was a Low. My first thought, being 6'2", was WTF am I on? I'm sure it'll work for those who think they need it.

Finally had a little time to check out an Ultra Limited at the dealer this weekend. A couple of comments from a 'short' rider that impressed me.

1) Bars come back further
2) Grips are smaller - dealer said they were 'Dyna' grips? But definitely smaller.
3) They use a narrow outer primary that would be a help. I have a sizeable scar on my left calf from the primary cover burning my leg. Long story, don't ask. You can order this for any bike, and I may actually do it. But it's $450 and you need a special derby cover at $100. Ouch.
4) You do not get the heated grips.
5) Passenger floorboards are swapped for a wide flat peg. This would help when backing up (but I'm not swapping mine)

The suspension/seat have already been mentioned, and I'm sure there are others changes. That's what I noticed or checked on.

Hope you got your questions answered and the comment is on the house!! :-)
Not only does it not make up for the 1" difference of travel, the 12" shocks do not actually lower the bike 1". Once you add in the angle of the mount it is less than 1".

And I sat on an Ultra Low. I am only 5' 8" and found I did not flat foot it any better on the low than a standard. I can reach the ground just fine on a standard. The thing I did notice is the low crams you further forward.

I'm 5' 8" and I can not flat foot both feet on my 15 SG even with my boots on. No way, no how. Much less easily. 29" inseam.

Ahh . . . my old friend Garemlin! Good to see you! Yes, I think we beat that topic to death with our rides a few years ago. Never did find a good solution and I traded it in with those Progressive Shocks. Speaking of which, I have some air shocks from my '12 FLHX that I should put up for sale. They're an inch shorter (11" vs 12") than the stock touring bikes. Though, folks claim up and down the spring over's with the dial adjusts (now used on the Limited Low) are the cats meow. I did my time with a short bike, I'm done.

Wait a minute?! Why the hell did I not know you got a '15 RG!!!??? NICE! Congrats!

You blinked. LOL

I will say I still like the premium shocks. Had them on my RG Ultra and even with a little lower stance they were a big improvement over stock. I test rode a RG Special before buying my standard. And the premiums with the beefier front make for a much better ride. Still stiff. But not kidney busting and much more forgiving than the airs. Gonna pick up a used set sometime this winter.
