Default CVO Rider BackRest Warning

I discovered a Flaw in the Manufacture of the BackRest so be aware so it does not damage your upholstery as it did mine.
On the backside of the rest is a spring which attaches to the backrest support. The top end of the spring punched a small hole in the Upholstery that covers this mechanism. My dealer has advised they will be replacing mine

Are they going to do something to make sure it does not happen again?

I wouldn't say it was just CVO. I've seen this happen on several models. I added a piece of heavy tape over the spring end after bending it some to help protect the vinyl.

Wasn't to fond of the SE backrest anyway. Not being adjustable. But back when I had my 09 Ultra I bought a hd adjustsble backrest but kept it when I got rid of that bike. It now has been on my both my 2010 and 2014 SE Limited. Like it much more than the stock rest.

I'm really surprised that Harley cheapens out on the CVO bike and not give it the adjustable backrest. They could have just raised the price $40.00 to cover their cost, and no one would notice it.
