I would get hit in the head with bugs with stock shield and I am only 5'7".
I bought an 11" Freedom Shield and I am happy. Recurve keeps wind, bugs, rain away and no buffetting for passenger.
What have you guys done for a replacement windshield on the Rushmore Limited? The new lower cut windshield looks good, but after a few highway rides, I don't care for the function of it. I'm 5'10", and when sitting on the bike, I clearly see over the top of the windshield. My problem isn't buffeting, but rain and stuff going over the windshield and hitting me in the face. I need another 2" or so of windshield height. I'm hoping with the extra height, it won't screw up the airflow around the windshield and through the mail slot. The windshield on my '11 UC was the perfect height.
Thanks in advance for any info.
My dealer swapped out the OEM one with a 12" HD light smoked when I bought my 2015 Limited as I'm 6'4". Works great for me.
Thanks for the info everyone. I have a couple ideas to look at. I think the HD 12" sounds like a winner. I'll check one out at the dealership when I'm there later this week.

Your dealer should have demo windshields they can install for you and try out for a few days. That way you don't spend money on something you can't use.
Freedom shield, 10", lt. grey was right for me. I'm 6'1", 32" inseam. I still look over it. Re-curve is great. Quality of the shield is top notch. HD shields can't compare.
I've got the Clark's Custom Windshields 11" Half Moon lite tint smoked on a 2015 FLHTK. These windshields are 3" wider than stock on each side which adds more protection for the ride and passenger. I had the 10" Half Moon on my 2012 FLHTK and loved it. I also have the 7.5" Half Moon lite tint with Flames on my 2008 SG.
I have a 7" Cee Bailey Reverse Curve on '14 Ltd, and have done over 15k miles behind it in all kinds of weather. I am 5'10" and see well over the top of this windscreen. It puts the airflow just at/over the top my helmet. No buffeting, very few bugs, and unless it is a heavy rain, it puts most rain over my helmet.
CB has made windscreens for BMW's and metrics for a long while, but have not been big into Harley aftermarket screens. I was happy with their windscreens on BMW's, so I thought I take a shot with them. Their 7" gray-tinted windscreen was $60, so I figured it wouldn't be a huge risk. I've been very happy with it.

Cee Bailey make VERY high quality screens. They started out (and still make) aircraft windshields and their attention to detail and quality is evident in every product I have seen from them both for airplanes as well as bikes
