Has anyone reoved a PRE 2014 Headpipe and installed it on there
Rushmore bike!!!
The FM website says it the same pipe but I cannot get it to keep from leaking
mainly from front cylinder!!
Now I am a FORD certified master tech so wrenching is easy for me!!
So I got new gaskets from FM front cylinder leaks
removed and installed pipe several times and reinstalled PER FM INSTRUCTIONS
Now the Website says this pipe can be use with STOCK gaskets !! NO way pipe will not even go in the gasket!!
Got another set of gaskets from J&P cycles today hoping they were a little thicker !! No looks the same

The stock gaskets do work and seal tight, the pipe will not fit in the gasket like the OEM taper will. With the close fit of the FM pipe inside the port, it seals up against the leading edge of the gasket. I would give the stock gaskets a try.
Wrenchguy I replied to the PM I got from you. I used the oem stock taper gaskets. FM says torque to 99 inch lbs. They don't mention anything about torque sequence but my service manual does. It's something like 12inch lbs on the rear lower stud then 12 inchlbs on the top forward stud then final torque (99inch lbs for the FM pipe, more for the HD pipe) on the rear top stud and final torque on the forward bottom stud and then final torque on the rear lower stud and then the forward upper stud.....or something like that. I think the sequence and final torque value may be critical. If you over torque the billet collar on the FM pipe may deform the gasket enough to make it leak. And getting to the lower stud on the forward pipe is a real treat.
Ok I am going to try a set of NEW stock gaskets
When FM did my 107 on last bike I cant remember if they used the
stock gaskets or there flat gaskets.
3 years after they did my 107 I purchased the LEVEL B heads from them
and I put them on with the FLAT gasket from FM
pipe never leaked at all
So ill try it again!!
This rushmore motor should be the same !!!! GRRRRRR
I had the same issue with my V&H PDs and after trying 2 sets of the flat gaskets I went with the stock ones and no leaks, even took it to dealership to verify that it wasn't leaking to be sure, I was as pissed as you seem taking them off and on 3 times, I guessing that the flat edge of header must crush the tapered gasket just right
