Default Moisture In Gauges

So far on my 14, I have not noticed any moisture in the gauges as has been the case on my 2000 and 2009. I have been out in damp weather the last 3 rides and all is fine.

Has anyone else noticed anything different?

I've never had a problem with moisture on any of my previous bikes nor the new one. All the gauges, new or old, have a little silica pack in the casing. The old ones were sealed with a rubber pressure fit ring, the new ones are all sealed using very strong double sided tape.

Glad to hear this. I did have moisture in my 2004. Took it to the dealership several times and they finally said there was nothing they could do. Throughout the day, the moisture would go away.

No problems with my 2011 - and none with my 14.

I have always had this issue with my 07 gauges. Rubber seals are difficult to keep out moisture and if you live in humid climates it happens often. My 14 never is a issue.

In the olden days, I would take a small drill bit and CAREFULLY drill as small hole in the back of the plastic housing. This would allow air to circulate better and reduce the possibility of trapped moist air that causes the condensation. FWIW.

I hate to be the one to say yes, my buddy has a 14 limited and the dealer had to swap out the gauges because of moisture. And for some reason they threw in the HD cluster rings for free.

Yep... my gauges had moisture in them... now it's dried, but I can still see the streaks. Will get the dealer to look at in on my next service call.

My 2014 screen sometimes is foggy but slowly dissipates after awhile in the sun.
