Put the progressive shocks on this morning.
The bike dropped 3/4 inch unladen on the stand, so it may well be 1 inch lower laden...I just don't have someone here to measure it.
My feat are now firmly on the ground...so that's what I was after.
I do not yet know what the handling/ride difference is as it is too crappy out to ride today.
I would have to think that these will be better than stock given that the Harley shocks that I took off are adjutable for siffness on only one side of the bike..
I am not sure how that is supposed to work well...

The adjuster is linked to both shocks so it is adjusting both of them at the same time.

Nope...On a standard Limited they are air ride and are linked, however on the Limited Low they are not Air ride shocks and they are not linked in any way.
Those look like the same shocks that come on the SGS instead of air shocks .
It appears that the adjustable one also has a much bigger spring on it , I'd venture to guess that it takes the brunt of the load while the other side has more of a stabilizing role , probable cheaper to do it that way.

Yes...I was told that they are the same shock as on the SGS.
I stand corrected. Based on your picture I don't see how they could be linked. I guess my problem was I believed what I heard on the video demonstration at this link. Notice what he says at the 1:52 point in the video. I think I'm going to have to email him and ask him to explain his comment.
The shock with the adjuster would effect the right shock as it changes the pre-load on the left side of the bike.. but that is quite a difference from adjusting it.

Makes sense. As you can tell I'm not all that mechanically minded.
