Default Nav question

Was out for about a 450 mile ride yesterday and noticed something strange on the navigation screen. I had a route plugged in and at the bottom of the screen it would show the distance to next turn followed by an arrow (example: to the right), but the next turn would be to the left. The arrow would always point to the opposite direction of the turn. The voice would say the proper way, but the arrow at the bottom would point the wrong way. Did this for MOST, but not all of the turns.

Anyone else notice this?

I have at times seen the directional arrow point the opposite direction, but as I recall it did not do it every time. I have not yet loaded/used a route in the new 1.18.3 software so don't know if the problem still remains.

I don't have a newer model HD, but I do have the Road Tech Garmin 665 and it has done the same thing to me. Maybe it is just a GPS thing?

I've had the same deal. Voice and map showed one way and arrow was the other. Map has always been right.

Happens all the time on the Rushmores. Don't follow the arrow at the bottom! Follow the map!! Just another glitch in this system.... Maybe one day it will be corrected in an update.

I only use the Nav when I know 100% where I am going!

Should be a warning sticker on the Nav screen...... "Use of this device might get your a** lost"

Mine does the same thing at times. Had it updated the other day. Now it won't go into daylight mod for 15 min after I leave the garage! The more they stir it the worse it stinks!

Change your NAV so the direction you're going is always up. I think mine came so North was always up. I'd go check but I traded in my SGS for a new 15CVOSG and am still waiting for it.

Thanks for pointing this out to us. I did the latest upgrade (18.3) today and everything seems to work flawlessly when I test rode my '15 SGS. But I have to say I didn't pay any attention to the arrows. Next time I will, though. I will commend one way or the other.

Mkevins is correct - change your map so arrow goes the way you are traveling. Make is a lot easier to follow the map and also see the upcoming roads (curves)

It has a warning screen you must acknowledge every time you start the bike.

The delayed brightness change was an issue with 18.2 that was fixed with 18.3. Are you sure you loaded the 18.3 version?
