Default LRS install

My LRS windshield for my 14 ultra should be here tomorrow so I have a question. Is it as easy as just loosen the 3 screws and slide the old out and the new in? Any surprises there? Thanks

It is just that easy, the center screw is the longest one. You can take all 3 out if you need to. The fairing has 4 other screws holding it in place

Just that easy loosen the three top screws and you might have to loosen the 2 on the sides slide the old shield out make sure the new one is seated and tighten the screws back up but be careful to not over tighten them because you can turn the brass inserts that hold the screws good and snug is all you need. I am sure there is a torque spec.

When you have the old windshield out, clean out the channel that your new w/s goes in to. A bunch of rocks and grit in mine. No need to scratch up your new w/s.

Be sure to cover your front fender and tank with something to prevent a chip in the paint when you drop the wrench!

Should be a five minute job. As mentioned before put something over the front fender. Good luck.

I was able to do it with my bike. The job is truly that easy.

Has anyone else had a small issue with fitment after install? Mine works amazing, but when I installed it I noticed the curve doesn't quite match the fairings'. It's very small but given my job, I notice stuff like that. Not a big deal, I have two more LRS's coming; I was just curious.

It is a known issue with all windshields on the 2014 (and I assume 2015). Freedom shield helps a bit because it is thicker.
