does the vent box just come off with two screws and pull back away from the inner fairing? or is it trickier than that? I put the painted slipstream vent on but now decided to get the whole thing painted... it just looks out of place.
I added a chrome front, and painted the inner all flat black above the damper, and gloss black below it. The flat is to prevent reflections from the LEDs I added inside the vent, just behind the chrome part, and the gloss is to reflect them (which is what you see.) Works pretty good, I've got the 3-pouch thing and you hardly see any light from the seat.
I'm going to eventually get some of that black reflective tape and put a strip just behind the chrome piece for added effect. It's switched so I can shut them off if need be.
