Default Gerbing Controller

Anyone have pictures of where and how they mounted their Gerbing controller dials? I have one to mount on a 14 RK as well as a 15 CVO Limited. I have some ideas but just want to see what else you have done.

I don't have a picture and it's not on the bike at the moment but ...

I have the gas tank clear wrapped near the end by the seat and I have the leather tank cover on top of that. I ran the wires for the controller out the front of the seat and clipped the controller to the leather cover using the belt clip. The paint is protected by the clear wrap, the leather protects even more from my riding and the belt clip doesn't rub the paint because of the clear wrap.

My wife sewed a small strap, like a belt loop, to the bike of my rider backrest. Her controller comes up through the backrest hole and clips to the backrest.

One of my fellow riders here uses a Bluetooth controller. I forget the brand it came with but he has it velcro attached to the center windshield bag. When he gets on the bike he plugs the jacket into power and the controller is always available.

My concern with them being mounted has been leaving them on. With the controller on your belt, when you unplug you know nothing is drawing down the battery. If you unplug the jacket but leave the controller attached and "on", could there be a drain on the battery?

On several BMW's in the past I installed the Gerbing fixed mount control. Worked great and nothing to wear, hang or Velcro on. Just a small control ****. On my Harley's I take the control out of pouch and put a small Velcro strip on the control and mount just in front of the seat on the tank in center.

I hang my control on my jacket belt. When you forget to unplug it when you get off the bike it stays on your jacket. Not that this ever happend to me before....

I mount mine in the front of the seat on the tank. I brought the wires up beside it. Easy to reach down and adjust temp.

Thanks all. I bought the permanent mount one, not the portable.

Used to mount mine on the tank clipped to the leather strip, but one time got off the bike unplugged the jacket but left the controller turned on for a few days, battery did run flat.

Now I tuck the controller into a small pocket on the front of my jacket and run the wires through the jacket, just plug into the wire that runs from the battery and comes out infront of the seat now.
