Put a FBI hidden hitch on my 13 Limited , great ! With receiver off you do not know its on the bike !
Just for the sake of education.
I know this is not an important point cause even the MC hitch guys get it wrong, just a rant:
The receiver is the hitch on the bike, It receives the DRAW BAR. The draw bar is not the receiver. Look at any hitch manufacturers site (car or truck).
The hitch on the bike is called the Receiver because it is female and receives various types of draw bars as long as the male bar is the same dimension as the receiver.
Whew, got it off of me chest.

Reason: wrong quote
Ok i'll ask in a different way then, For those of us who do have the extended warranty how does the hitch effect it? I got the extended warranty just for travels sake and gap insurance more then the dealership doing the work for me.

Batman
Here is my view on your question.
I good dealership will take care of your warranty issue with no problem unless maybe the trailer hitch was the cause of your problem.
Here is a link to a thread I started last year on trailer hitches, wiring, and towing. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...ing-setup.html As far as your ESP. If the bike has a hitch when the ESP company sends an inspector out to approve the repairs they will cancel your ESP. One of the posters on my thread said they canceled his ESP and refused to refund any of the cost because they had previously paid a claim before finding out he had the hitch. That's why I don't put my hitch on until I'm getting ready for a trip and pull it back off as soon as I get home. The MCHitch takes less than 30 minutes to install and 15 to remove.
