Default O2 Bung Placement for Thundermax?

Does anyone have the specs and or pictures of the placement for the O2 bungs when running a Thundermax. I am about to order a Thundermax for the bike and just want to take care of the headpipe now while the weather sucks. Thanks for any help guys. Any tips from you guys when running the wiring would be greatly appreciated. I had one on my Dyna but paid a shop to do my work like an idiot. I am fully capable of doing this, just need some knowledge help.

I moved my bungs on my '09 when I was playing with TTS

Here are some pictures of where I put the O2 sensors:

I recommend as close to the exhaust port as you can. I had mine at about 1 1/2 inches for my wide band o2 sensors on my 2010 ultra I put cams in. I presume this will hold true on any head pipe you use. Mine were V&H true duals.

Be sure to use 90* bungs to get the sensors in the exhaust flow...the 45* ones are too long and don't allow the sensor enough depth...

Thanks for the info guys, especially the tip from Mike, I really had debated the 45 degree bungs. I will heed your advice.

Ok so I've now come to another fork in the road. What are our stock head pipes made of? I went to order a set of O2 bungs and I'm not sure which material to buy.

I used the headers as shown in the link which meant I got the right size bungs and was able to ditch the cat at the same same time. I am very pleased with the result, including a slightly deeper exhaust sound.

The second link shows you the placement of the 18mm bungs up near the top of the headers.

I believe the stock pipes are just chromed steel.

You could just buy a fuel moto head pipe with them already in place and loose the cat at the same time.

I have already eliminated the Cat in my pipes. I just don't see by studies any real advangate of switching out head pipes. Especially as I have already removed my cat. Thanks for the link though guys that gave me a great view of the placement. Wish it was a bit more clear and up close.

This may help you with the rear bung placement. You can see it has to be angled a bit so the sensor sticks out into the space behind the rear cylinder.
