When mine was in the shop and I rented a Ultra I was very uncomfortable on that bike. Really glad to get back on my SG.
So isn't the Low version set up like a SG, as far as suspension? And a different seat???
Seat, handlebars, premium cartridge suspension front and rear with the rears being the adjustable exposed spring type. I am 5'5" with a 28" inseam and sit very comfortably in the seat. The bike comes from the factory lowered 1" front and rear. I'd imagine the rear could be lowered an additional 1' using the lowering blocks you put on the S G. The big difference is the engine. The wet head has a very noticeable up tick in both H P and torque over the non water cooled Rushmore engines. As the Mo Co has stated, they wanted better mid range roll on for passing without having to downshift. They nailed it ! I spent Sunday riding the crap out of it. Nearly 300 miles combined two lane and interstate. Passing is no issue for this baby. I am so glad I bought the Limited rather than the basic ultra. Guy I go to church with came off a '14 Ulta for a '15 wet head. Rides two up with his s/o. He told me that both of them noticed a huge difference between the two m/c's when loaded with their gear. He trailers and said he keeps looking back to see if it's there. The Limited pulls that much better. He also told me his fuel mileage has gone up as the bike broke in. I've no doubt Safety Man or others with a Limited will verify such.
Congrats on the new ride. I expect your story has been repeated time after time. I sat on the new 2015 Ultra Classic LOW and I know my jaw dropped. Wrote the check the next day.
Since then I have seen lots of folks in the dealer show room sit on one of the LOWS and the reactions are almost always ......open mouthed awe.
