Default What first?

If you had to pick one, which would you do first? Stage 1 air and flash, or slip-on's? Just curious for future mods.

For the price of a set of high-quality slip-ons, Safetyman will tell you to get a tuner first. Knowing what I know now, I agree. Buy once, cry once. You won't be sorry

Get a good flash tuner. FP3, PV2 or the like.

I bought street cannons first, drove till the 1000 mile service. Then I got passed by a couple of bikes, loud and fast! I thought I would ride this set up for a long time. Well, I had taken the Reinhart true duals and Velociraptor from my old 11 Limited. All I needed was a new Thundermax (old one different). Sold mine for $400 and got lucky on ebay and found one for $400. Installed in one weekend. Now mine is fast and loud. It is a Harley again. So my advice, is like above. Get what you can afford but keep the big picture in mind. Buy once , cry once. If you like quiet, get the slip on's but with a tuner. Or go all out and Do all three or 4 at same time. To each his own.

I couldn't wait. I did it all at once.

If you're doing it one piece at a time, I'd go with a tuner first. It will make your bike run a lot better with more throttle response. After that, it doesn't matter what piece you add. The tuner will adjust.

Most bang is flash AND slip-ons, then catless header then air cleaner is last.
If you only have $$$ for an air cleaner, save more $$$.

I've got a 2014 RK and I was hoping that by doing the Stage 1 and Tuner first it might make the stock pipes sound OK for a little while. I will definitely be doing the slip-on too, just down the road a while. Or if the Stage 1 and tuner doesn't make a difference in the sound of the stock pipes, maybe do the pipes first??? Decisions, Decisions
