If I buy a PV from FM that would come with a installed map, so wouldn't that make autotuneing easier ?

I run the map FM gave me and it run good. I decided to auto tune it and when I started it up it idled ruff, kind of like it had a miss or was loading up. The longer I rode it the better it started to run. Down loaded the new auto tune map and now it runs really gooooood. Made quite a difference to say the least.

I just flashed the new Autotune so I'll see how that goes. The consensus is you need to run it 3-4 times so I'll probably do another session or two.

It looks like you have a pretty good grasp on the auto tune, was wondering if when it warms up some if you could give me some pointers? I saw you were from Iowa City, I am from Cedar Rapids. Tom

Here is a thread on PV use and dial in pointers that has been running since 2011: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/ignit...-by-admin.html
Lots of information here. Check later records for the more current information since PV software has changed alot since it's inception.

Yes, when you exit autotune it should show the avg. and max. changes. You can then decide to accept or not. Watch the dynojet videos.

Hey guys, I'll be finishing up my Stage1 tomorrow with a tune from FM.
If I autotune the FM tune is it permanently hacked or am I able to also save the original FM tune?

Save it in WinPV. I saved it on a memory stick as well. Save the auto tune to a new slot on the PV. Should not be a problem.
