Default Fluid Changes

How many of you folks change all 3 fluids at the same time?

2014 SGS - just turned 7500 and for the extra $25 i always feel its worth it to change all three while Im working on the bike. I know some may say overkill but It also allows me to check for deposits and all.

When i bought the bike used with 2700 i dropped all three to make sure i had what i wanted in there. at 5,000 i did the same thing.

For the record i use Mobile 1 V-twin 20 w 50 for the Crankcase and Primary and Mobile 1 70 W140 for the transmission. (don't want to start oil debate)

Default Fluids

I changed all 3 on my '14 SGS this past weekend. Just turned over 5,000 miles. I went with Mobil 1 in the crankcase and Red Line in the transmission & primary, all because of the positive feedback from this and other forums. So far, so good.

Over kill i know:

Every 2500 Engine

Every 5000 all 3 and K and N air filter clean/charge.

On a side note, check your air, yesterday, a few hours after completing a ride, cleaned bike and Front was 36 rear 39.9. I had added some (1.5 to 2 lbs) air about a month ago, happy not to have to this time.

So far I'm following the maintenance schedule.

Probably shouldn't have started an oil thread then.

I do the same as this. At every 5K I complete the 5K checklist in the service manual. Probably overkill, but it makes me feel good about it.

I do all 3 every 5k.

Knowing that I am using quality fluids, I don't feel the need to swap the engine oil sooner, and I know the trans fluid could go a lot farther, it always looks new, but I've already got my tools out....

Summit Racing. 103 shipped to my door for all 3. All redline, + filter, and I do it every 4500-5000. Very cheap insurance for a 30 grand bike.

I don't disagree.

Mobil1 20w50 Vtwin, 30 bucks
Redline Primary, 18 bucks (every 4th time, an extra 18 bucks)
Amsoil 75w-110 15 bucks
K&N 171C- 15 bucks

Around 80 bucks, local pickup.
